BPCC ready to run 4th Annual Go-Kart race

The 4th Annual BPCC 100 Go-Kart Races runs from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 22 at the Bossier Parish Community College campus, 6220 E. Texas Street in Bossier City.

The event raises money to help support the BPCC student scholarship fund.

Team-sponsored, customized go-karts zip around a race track as they compete for trophies. Teams also compete for prizes in various categories:  Best Looking Car; Best Dressed Pit Crew and Fastest Pit Crew.

Annual Gator Run coming to Lee Hedges Stadium

The 12th Annual Captain Shreve Gator Run will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 22 at Lee Hedges Stadium. There will be a 5K run and one mile Fun Run on the stadium's track.

The NSU Child and Family Network will host a workshop on becoming a licensed child care center operator. The workshop runs from 6 - 9 p.m. on Monday, September 10 at the NSU-CFN office at 1800 Washington Place.
