The LSU Shreveport Debate Team won the sweepstakes tournament title after another convincing performance at LSU in Alexandria this past weekend.  The team advanced 21 of its 26 combined entries; won nearly 72% of its preliminary rounds and swept all three divisions of debate Sunday afternoon.

The team traveled to Alexandria, La.

Congressman John Fleming will host a town hall meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27 at the Southern Hills Business Association Conference Center, located at 9701 Baird Road. The congressman wants to hear from the folks who live in the fourth district on whatever issues they have. Some of the national issues he'll address include the economy, job creation and federal spending.
