SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA)- A group of students protested the LSUS and LA Tech merger today on the campus of LSUS.
Students posted signs along all of the roadways and parking lots on campus against the merger. The students hope that the signs will raise awareness about the possible loss of the LSUS identity and increase school spirit as well.
The merger idea came as a result of a report, presented by Eva Klein and Associates. The report outlined several recommendations to better achieve a comprehensive, public four-year university for the Shreveport-Bossier area.
