SPAR and Rock Solid open house at Bill Cockrell and David Raines pools

Shreveport Public Assembly & Recreation (SPAR) and Rock Solid Sports will host an open house at the Bill Cockrell Park swimming pool on Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 1:00 - 3:00pm and at David Raines swimming pool of Sunday, May 13 from 2:00 – 4:00pm.

During the open house, Shreveport Fire Department will offer a water safety seminar, followed by open swimming for the general public.

Pair of boil advisories for Eagle Water System lifted

The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals has lifted 2 boil advisories that were issued by Eagle Water during the first part of this week. The boil advisory for the Springlake Mobile Home Park in North Shreveport as well as the advisory for the Meadowwoods Subdivision in Keithville have both been lifted.

Both samples collected by the Department of Health and Hospitals were tested and found to be safe.

Boil advisory in place for parts of Keithville

The Eagle Water System is issuing a boil advisory for the Meadowwoods subdivision in the Keithville area.  Water service to the residents in that subdivision was interrupted for a short time Thursday morning because of a power outage in the neighborhood.
