Every year, members of the Southern Hills Business Association install 200 Christmas banners along Mansfield Road and Jewella Avenue.

“The Association does this to support area businesses and create a festive atmosphere for all visitors,” said SHBA President John Bowman.

The banners are a reminder of the neighborhood's "Old Fashion Christmas Parade", which will run this year on December 8.

The parade begins and ends at Sheriff's Safety Town, located at the far northwest corner of the Summer Grove Baptist Church parking lot. Everything kicks off at 4:30 p.m. with school bands, cheer groups, floats from social groups, churches, youth groups, and more. Santa Clause will also stop by for a visit.
