Buddy Walk set for Saturday | Community Spirit

Up With Downs has its one-mile walk Saturday to help the community become acquainted with area residents who have Down syndrome and their families.

Up With Downs expects 600 people to attend the event, which will be held between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the LSU-Shreveport campus.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk starts at 10 a.m. A $5 registration fee is required, but the group adds that additional donations are appreciated.

After registration, participants will get a t-shirt and other walk-related materials. Those already registered need to sign in at the registration table to get their materials.
