"Movies & Moonbeams" night showing the movie "Rango" | Community Spirit
Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation (SPAR) and the Robinson Film Center invite everyone to "Movies & Moonbeams", showing the movie “Rango” at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19 in the Red River District, downtown Shreveport.
Rango is an ordinary chameleon who accidentally winds up in the town of Dirt, a lawless outpost in the Wild West in desperate need of a new sheriff. It features the voices of actors Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Bill Nighy, Abigail Breslin, Alfred Molina, Harry Dean Stanton, Ray Winstone, Timothy Olyphant and Ned Beatty.
Run with the Nuns has events planned as part of the Movies and Moonbeams in the Red River District. Hamburger and Hotdog plates will be available for $5 with proceeds going to children’s health initiatives, Pocket Change will be playing live music from 6:00 – 7:00pm and games will be open from 5:00 – 7:00pm. Games include Bean Bag Toss, Duck Pool, Football Toss, Roulette Wheel, and Toilet Paper Toss. Lots of prizes for the winners, including State Fair passes, LSU t-shirts, candles, toys and more!
Run with the Nuns VI registrants will also be able to pick up their t-shirts and registration packets for the event on Saturday, which kicks off at 8:00am in the Red River District.
Tables and chairs will be provided in The Red River District. No personable snacks or beverages are allowed. Both Nicky's Restaurant and Fatty Arbuckles will be open for business during the event. Shreveport Police Officers are onsite for all movies.
