State offering voting workshop for senior citizens & elderly
The Louisiana Secretary of State's office and the Advocacy Center will host a voter training seminar for senior citizens and people with disabilities.
The Shreveport workshop will take place from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 30 at the Shreve Memorial Library Broadmoor Branch, 1212 Captain Shreve Drive.
The voter training includes information on how to register to vote and voting rights, plus folks will have the chance to practice voting using an accessible voting machine.
