Southern Hills pool getting ready to close for the season | Community Spirit

Shreveport's last open public swimming pool is getting ready to close for the summer.

Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation and Rock Solid Sports say the Southern Hills pool will close for the season on Sunday, August 19.

From August 14 through the 19, Southern Hills Pool will only open from 4 p.m. - 7p.m.

SPAR does want everyone to remember their seven spray parks will stay open as long as we have warm weather. SPAR’s seven spraygrounds include Airport Park, David Raines, Hattie Perry, Lakeside and Querbes Community Centers, along with AC Steere and Riverview Park. The spraygrounds are open from 8:00am to 8:00pm, seven days a week. Riverview Park’s sprayground operates seven days a week from 7:00am until 1:00am.
