Shreveport Orchid Society announces orchid show | Arts & Culture

The Shreveport Orchid Society presents the 2012 Southwest Region Orchid Show & Sale to be held at the Barnwell Center.

Horticulturists from many states will be there to demonstrate the orchid's great variety and exotic beauty.

Times for the All-Hallowed Orchid exhibit and sale are as follows:

• Saturday, Oct. 27: Orchid plant sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.;
  Orchid show from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday, Oct. 28: Orchid plant sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.;
  Orchid show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is free, and the public is invited to view or buy orchids.
