SPAR announces free etiquette lessons for girls

The Shreveport Public Assembly & Recreation (SPAR) Bilberry Park Community Center will host a “Pretty Girls Rock!: Etiquette Lessons for Girls” from 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, at the center located at 1902 Alabama Street.

The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier is looking for folks to sign up for 'Running for a Cause Fun Run and 5K' which begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, February 16 at Independence Stadium.

Registration is $25 before February 15, $30 the day of the race.

Shreveport getting ready for Youth Baseball

The Athletic Department for Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation (SPAR) is getting ready for the upcoming baseball season.

 There will be leagues for Youth T-Ball, Machine Pitch, Softball and Baseball. They're open to all children between the ages of 4 - 10-years-old. The age cut-off is March 31. Ball play will begin on Monday, April 13.
